Hey guys, I'm the face behind Chrisaustory. You can call me Chris!

I am a freelance photographer and videographer based in Melbourne, Australia and couldn't love what I do more.

From the beginning I have always had a passion for creative storytelling.

From writing and illustrating short stories when I was younger to designing narrative-driven presentations for school projects to then creating my own comic book panels. My drive to create was a feeling like no other.

However, I knew a creative writing format was just not how I "pictured" myself expressing this passion...

It was only until I picked up my old family camera was when I realised my true potential as a creative artist. The ability to capture raw moments and share memories in the format of a true narrative has always been an extraordinary concept to me that still fascinates me to this day.

However, what intrigued me the most about visual storytelling is the fact that its language is universal. No matter the cultural barriers, differing points of views or how different someones else's spoken language is compared to yours, everyone is able to perceive emotion.

The emotion shared through visual imagery.

That in itself is truly powerful.
